Market Lane Seasonal Blend - 250g Espresso

This espresso is a blend of two freshly landed, new-season coffees: AMACA Women’s Coffee from Colombia (90%) and Ayla from Ethiopia (10%). 

AMACA Women’s Coffee was produced by members of AMACA (Asociación de Mujeres Productoras Agropecuarias del Cauca), a dynamic, women-run organisation founded 25 years ago to help female farmers find better opportunities for their crops. This rich, full-bodied Colombian coffee makes a fantastic base for this espresso.

Ayla was grown by small-scale farmers who deliver their coffee cherries to the Ayla washing station in Ethiopia’s Sidama region. The coffee was then processed using the natural method: the ripe cherries were dried whole, in the sun, with the beans still inside. This sweet and tropical coffee contributes some lovely fruit notes to the blend. 

These two coffees have been blended together to create a delicious, versatile espresso that works beautifully both on its own and with milk. In the cup, this blend is sweet and rich with notes of red apple and caramel
