The story:
Located in the Sidamo region, famous for coffee production in Ethiopia, the Kontoma station deals with more than a thousand farmers to produce and grind coffee. The Dai Bensa organization, which provides export services, provides clear support to the farmers who supply this distinctive crop. After the cherries are collected, they are delivered to the mill where they are sorted by density and quality. The cherries are then immersed in tanks to remove floating cherries before drying. After sorting, the beans are spread on raised drying beds for 12-15 days, being turned regularly during the day to prevent fermentation. Finally, the coffee is transferred to the drying mill. With these capabilities and experiences, we have built a strong partnership to align our goals around producing a distinctive product.
