Smoothie is back for its 4th iteration!

Just like previous years, Smoothie is produced by Julio Madrid and Andrés Quiceno at Hacienda La Riviera in Risaralda, Colombia.

This iteration of Smoothie is more tropical fruit-forward than previous versions, yet still sweet and clean. It has a velvety smooth mouth feel reminiscent of an airy milkshake. Even after cupping hundreds of different coffees this year, Smoothie remains distinct and unlike anything we have experienced before.

Tasting Notes: Caramelized Banana, Yellow Mango, Passion Fruit, Nougat Candybar

Cup Score: 88.75 ☕

Smoothie is part of our 2024 Loco Series, which celebrates the crazy (in a good way) coffees coming out of Colombia. Our goal is to appreciate and display the innovative efforts of Colombian coffee producers, that are moving the global coffee production industry forward.

* This version of Smoothie is specifically roasted for Espresso. We also have a different version of Smoothie for Filter *

ABOUT SMOOTHIE

Smoothie is another one of the extremely unique coffees we have come across, due to the unique Honey Culturing, Anaerobic processing method utilized by Andrés Quiceno at La Riviera.

Maypop La Riviera

The Honey Culturing, Anaerobic process involves using fermentation starters and the unique natural flavors that come from fruits and aromatic plants.

New sensory profiles have been developed by mixed fermentations between the starters and traditional coffee fermentation processes.
