La Plata – Colombian specialty filter coffee
In the heart of the Huila Mountains, Colombia, La Plata coffee beans are grown on small farms at altitudes ranging from 1,800 to 2,200 meters above sea level. Fresh cherry beans are harvested from small farmers in diverse regions such as Acepido, Santa María, and Enza, weaving a unique tale of flavor and quality.
Treatment :
The coffee is carefully processed, with the beans being washed and carefully separated before being left to ferment for 24 to 36 hours in large tanks. They are then dried on raised beds to quickly reduce moisture, helping to preserve their rich flavors. Next, they undergo a second drying stage in vertical silos, where the temperature is carefully monitored to ensure optimal drying at 34°C, locking in the unique natural processing flavors of each bean.
