Story: The gesha variety produced by Pablo Andres Guerrero at Hacienda El Obraje in Nariño, Colombia, is one of our favorites. Last year, Pablo and the team at El Obraje won 1st at the Cup of Excellence of Colombia 2021!
This gesha variety got the highest scores and also broke records in terms of price for the green coffee at €250/kg! We are thrilled to be able to share this fresh crop, natural processed gesha from El Obraje.
Pablo started planting the gesha variety at El Obraje exactly 10 years ago back in 2011 and as the farm is located at an unusually high altitude at 2200mls it can be very challenging to farm coffee. But obviously, they have figured it out by now and after having roasted both the washed and the natural gesha from them, we are endlessly impressed by what they achieve year after year
